FARMER'S MOON COMPUTER PROGRAM

Avid gardeners will be relieved to hear that the calendar is available as a computerised version for PCs.

Cambridge computer genius Simon Jackson has rewritten the instructions, so that the program will print out your  lunar gardening calendar either monthly or quarterly for any date you wish (in full colour, if you have a colour printer). Based on years of research, it shows graphically how the four types of lunar month intertwine to give the best and worst times for gardening work.

This is part of the current month's output from the program with coordinates set for London.

PC users press here to download a zipped limited functionality version of the program, or here for a much larger unzipped version.

If your system fails to run the demo and displays a message that VB40016.DLL is missing, you can download VB40016.DLL by pressing here for the zipped version, or here for the uncompressed version. Save VB40016.DLL to the folder containing your other Windows system DLL files. Restart your computer. Then the demo ought to work.

The program does what no wall-chart is able, of giving moonrise for your locality, so important for your garden. Five graphic pages of moving-image explanation come with it.

The full version of the program is sent though the post as two discs, for only £17.50
